In this workshop we use our art journal practice to explore the deep meanings of the major arcana and to take the Fool’s journey through the tarot. We won’t reach for the little books of meanings — instead we explore where and how these archetypes are showing up and evolving for us in the present moment. Whether you’re new to tarot or have studied it for years, there is always new nuance in these mercurial archetypes. Come and explore this everlasting dance through your own creative practice.

The journey
This time we travel the arcana together, live — a new card each week, with time to sit with each archetype and create your own journal spread in response. Included:
a silent art journaling demonstration for each card (this isn’t a technique class — it’s an invitation to your own exploration);
the Luminous Babbles audio guidance and reflections;
journal prompts;
over 22 lessons across the major arcana;
live Zoom gatherings across the journey (recorded, so you’ll never miss one);
resources and readings to support your tarot path; an optional community space;
& lifetime access to keep and revisit afterwards, at your own pace.

Archetype Play
In this lesson we will use our journals as a way to explore and dive deep with an archetype. I'll be sharing how I use my journal exploration to dialogue with an archetype and how that may lead to another artwork.

In this bonus lesson I share a technique for creating intuitive imagery to draw/paint/sketch from inspired by the archetype of the Tower card and informed with bone wisdom.

Who can sign up?
All creative souls — new to tarot or long-steeped, beginner or experienced artist.
Is it a technique class??
No - it’s an invitation to your own exploration of the arcana through art journaling (you’ll pick up techniques along the way).
What supplies do I need?
Mixed media art journaling supplies — your journal, and your favourite paints, inks and collage bits. A suggested supply list is provided; for most cards you can use what you have.
Do I need Facebook?
No - you can work entirely from the classroom. We have a community group right in the classroom
Do I need to attend the live gatherings in real time?
No - they’re recorded, so you can watch anytime. Joining live is lovely, but never required.
How long will I have access?
Lifetime access for as long as the classroom is online.
